About Harness Logic

Not a hobby wiring shop

Harness Logic is a Melbourne-based precision electrical engineering and custom wiring harness fabrication business. We exist for the projects that need serious engineering discipline applied at small and custom volumes — EV conversions, prototype electronics, and specialist vehicle systems that larger manufacturers won't take on.

Philosophy

Engineering rigour, applied where volume manufacturers won't go

Small and custom jobs are often treated as an afterthought by manufacturers built for scale. We take the opposite approach: the same design discipline, testing standards, and documentation you'd expect from a high-volume production line, applied to one-off builds, prototypes, and low-volume runs. That's underpinned by real project history across mining equipment, heavy electric vehicles, and specialist control systems — not just enthusiasm for wiring.

How we work

Our process

Consultation & requirements

Understand the application, electrical requirements, and constraints before any design work starts.

Design & schematics

Circuit design, schematic capture, and documentation suited to the intended build volume.

Prototyping

Build and validate a prototype harness or assembly before committing to a production approach.

Fabrication & testing

In-house fabrication, verified with insulation resistance and HiPot testing where the application demands it.

Delivery & support

Delivery with documentation, plus ongoing engineering support as your project evolves.

Project history

Selected work

Project details are anonymised to respect client confidentiality.

Mining

Underground mining EVs

HV harness design and fabrication for underground electric vehicles, delivered for a leading mining equipment manufacturer.

Heavy EV

Heavy electric trucks

HV harness design and build for heavy electric truck platforms, engineered to withstand demanding commercial-vehicle duty cycles.

Software integration

Vehicle software integration

A vehicle software integration project delivered alongside a specialist control systems engineering firm.
